Description
ScarScience® Gel is a scar-care gel developed by a team of South African plastic surgeons. It is designed to support the look of scars from surgery, including caesarean sections and cosmetic procedures, as well as everyday scars, with a programme of gel and, if you choose, microporous tape.
Bulbine frutescens gel (10%), a Centella asiatica fraction and olive leaf extract (oleuropein) keep the scar area hydrated and comfortable, while dimethicone helps form a protective, moisture-retaining layer. With consistent use, scars look flatter, softer, smoother and less red. It suits all skin types.

How to use
- Use only on closed, intact skin. Cleanse and dry the area.
- Apply a thin layer twice daily. If using ScarScience tape, apply the tape over the scar and the gel over the tape; replace the tape every 4 to 5 days for 2 to 6 weeks.
- After that, continue with the gel alone for up to 6 months, or as advised by your surgeon or doctor.

- Do not apply to open or broken skin. This product is not sterile and is not a dressing.
- After surgery, ask your surgeon when to start using scar products.
- For children, ask a doctor before use.
- Patch test on a small area first and stop use if irritation occurs.
- For external use only. Keep out of reach of children.
