Description
Colorescience Total Protection Face Shield SPF 50 Matte is the shine-control shade, a very sheer, lightly tinted mineral face sunscreen with a matte finish. It is powered by EnviroScreen® technology, Colorescience’s mineral approach designed to help defend against UVA and UVB rays as well as blue light, pollution and infrared radiation.
Colorescience formulates Matte for normal to oily, combination and blemish-prone skin, and suggests it for medium to deep skin tones. A silicone powder absorbs excess oil and softens the look of pores.
With 12% zinc oxide, niacinamide and bisabolol, it can be worn alone, mixed with other Face Shields for a custom tint, or layered under make-up and over treatment products. Colorescience lists the Face Shield range as water resistant for 40 minutes.

How to use
- Shake well before each use; natural separation can occur.
- Apply at least a 20c-coin-sized amount evenly over the face, and more for the neck and décolleté.
- Wear alone, mix with other Face Shields, or layer under make-up. Reapply at least every 2 hours.

Ingredients
Key ingredients, as listed by Colorescience: zinc oxide 12% (active), iron oxides, niacinamide, bisabolol, Lipochroman antioxidant, silver ear mushroom extract and Infraguard (tara fruit and sunflower sprout extracts). Matte also contains a silicone powder for oil absorption.

Good to know

- Reapply sunscreen at least every 2 hours, and use a water-resistant sunscreen when swimming or sweating.
